Lairs Review

Lairs Review

Crawl the most devious dungeon around, created by the person sitting directly across from you. Lairs is a 2-player dungeon crawling game published by Kids Table Board Gaming. Both players will create a unique dungeon that includes a monster, traps, and valuable treasures. Players will wander the their opponents dungeon, conserving their energy for the next encounter, collecting as much treasure as they can.

In this video review, I give a full breakdown of the gameplay along with some of the shortcomings of the Lairs base game.

Lairs is now available at local game store. You can pre-order the next printing of Lairs from the KTBG webstore (shipping in Aug 2026).

I'm a huge fan of strategy games and pretty much anything that involves "city building". My love of board games goes back to my childhood and passion for building relationships with others.

I think it’s rare to see a company pivot like this after having such a successful product. Lines at Gen Con were ridiculous even with the old version of the base game. Hats off to KTBG for upping their content for future editions.
