“Ticket to Ride” for Kids Being Released

Ticket to Ride from Days of Wonder is a great “gateway game” into the hobby of tabletop gaming. Now there’s a way to introduce younger gamers to this game!

Ticket to Ride: First Journey is focused on a younger audience of around 6 years old and up. The game allows for 2 to 4 players to build train routes between 19 city locations around the United States. The game features shorter routes, colorful cards and artwork that will connect with the younger audience.

Instead of keeping your route cards a secret till the end of the game, players are encouraged to slap the finished ticket on the table and announce “TICKET” to everyone playing. The new version of Ticket to Ride will play in under 30 minutes which is great for the little ones.

You’ll only be able to find Ticket to Ride: First Journey at Target stores around the U.S. The great news is that it you’ll start seeing this on store shelves on July 31st!

I'm a huge fan of strategy games and pretty much anything that involves "city building". My love of board games goes back to my childhood and passion for building relationships with others.
