There are so many new games popping up on Kickstarter every single day! Some games, like Exploding Kittens, break records while some are looking for an audience to support a great idea.
We wanted to point out Barnyard Roundup as a Kickstarter project that you should definitely check out. The company that created the game, Druid City Games, has a similar mission as ours here at One Board Family. Gather the family around the table and lets make memories.
Your goal is to collect the most valuable farm animals for Farmer Brown to sell on Market Day. Players present cards face-down from their hand and declare what they are. Another player has to decide if you are bluffing or telling the truth. If they choose correctly, they get the Farm Animal card(s) you played, but if they guess wrong, you get the card instead.
The game has a lot of the mechanics that we love in the game Sheriff of Nottingham but is clearly geared toward a younger audience. Barnyard Round Up contains action tokens like the “Robber” who steals a card from another player or the “Scarecrow” that removes the last 3 crow cards that normally count against your final score. The artwork is super colorful and has some great illustrations. For any family that loves gaming, this is a Kickstarter project that you should consider supporting!
The creators suggest 2 to 6 players and have an age suggestion of 6+ for this game. You can find out more about Barnyard Roundup and support the Kickstarter by clicking here.
