A new entry into the Ticket to Ride family has been announced from Days of Wonder. Ticket to Ride: Rails & Sails allows players to take a voyage across the ocean using the new ship tokens. Ticket to Ride is one of our favorite games and usually hits the table every couple weeks in our house.
This new edition is scheduled to be released in September 2016 with a huge two-sided game board. On one side is a world map with both train and ship routes. On the other side is a map of the Great Lakes in North America. These two-sided board offers great value when it comes to replay-ability.
Some new elements to this edition is of course the sea travel, harbors which are worth a good number of points when used in a route and Tour tickets which require players to link together 3 to 5 cities for big points.
Like previous Ticket to Ride games, this one is 2 to 5 players with a recommended age of 10+. A normal game should take between 90-120 minutes. If you’re looking to see the world, Days of Wonder has your ticket.
